Beverley Garland Dancers
We are a ladies' team dancing mainly NorthWest style Morris dances. We are well known for our smiley faces and although we strive for perfection (which we sometimes achieve!) our main aim is to entertain and spread some joy!
We dance with ribbon sticks, bobbins, bell sticks and hankies, and our gorgeous flowery garlands and traditional costumes set us apart from the crowd!
Our clogs beat out the rhythm and our talented and very patient musicians play a variety of instruments from whistles to melodeons.
We are members of The Morris Federation.

The team was created in 1977 as Middleton Sword and Garland changing to its current name in 1982. We dance in clogs and wear traditional style costume representing the clothing the mill workers wore in the North West of England where most of our dances originate (and these voluminous frocks are great at hiding hankies, handbags, extra large lunches and thermals in the winter!).
Our dances are a mixture of garland and North West style and a few we have written ourselves. Not ones to skimp on equipment, we dance with ribbon sticks, bell sticks, bobbins, garlands and hankies.
We have danced in recent times from Perth to Nottingham but have been known to hop across the Channel to France.
